Welcome to the inside of my brain.

HELLO!!!!! I am so excited that you’re here and reading this right now. I hope you can feel my excitement through the words on this page. I have been wanting to share my thoughts for a long time but I was embarrassed because lets be honest I’m #notaninfluencer. However, I believe that my story, my words, my sharing can help other women who may be struggling. And honestly, it helps me. This is my creative outlet, learning, sharing, writing! So I’m doing it for me, for you, for US!

Sidenote if you’re thinking of starting a blog or a social account or writing a book. This is your sign to go do it, don’t walk - RUN! Just kidding take your time, move at your own pace and don’t let some girl on the internet tell you what to do.

That leads my into my next thought. I have spent SO many years trying to squeeze myself into nutrition plans, exercise programs, morning routines, schedules, jobs, roles, boxes - cages if you will. Looking for someone to tell me what to do, how to do it because I believed they knew better. But I am here to tell you that YOU ARE THE EXPERT ON YOU!! And I am on a mission to help other women break the mold, lean into their intuition and do what they truly desire, EVEN if it goes against what society tells you, you “should” be doing. Man I hate that word - should. Its a big pile of shame and not enough-ness and that’s a HELL NO for me.

The expectations that are put on women and mothers specifically are just ridiculous. The bounce back culture of motherhood, diet culture and fatphobia, ridiculous beauty standards -it is insane. We’re taught that being a women is to be nice, kind and sweet..small, quiet and accommodating. FUCK THAT. Was that lady like of me? to blurt out the eff word - well frankly I’m tired of being nice, small and quiet so I truly DGF.

You will always be too much or your not enough by someone else’s standards and I’m here to tell you you can’t make everyone happy, so lets focus on making YOU happy!

Anddd, we wonder why we are constantly feeling burnt out, depressed, not enough, and chasing happiness somewhere outside our selves, believing there is probably just something wrong with us and if we could only find more time, more energy to do more we’d be happy. Spoiler alert - YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED. Right now, right here, inside of you. Just think about this, women have the capacity to grow a human without lifting a finger or thinking about it. You body innately knew how and what do to. We are POWERFUL AF and magical, capable beings WHO RUN THE WORLD. ( Cue beyonce).

Anyway, Do you trust it? Do you listen to it? Do you love it? Do you treat it well? Your body I mean. The answer is usually - “I think so” but what does it truly mean to listen to your body?

Well let me tell you, your body is always speaking to you. Through signs and symptoms subtle at first, and louder and louder the longer your ignore them. Most of the time we are too busy or too distracted to listen or as I mentioned, we believe someone else knows better than we do. I get it. I’ve been there. Still am there, it takes a lot of unlearning and I don’t think we’ll ever be done.

Anyway I want to help you slow down. To learn to listen. To lean into the discomfort, gently, slowly so you can truly live your best life ever.

Maybe you will skim over this and think I’m weird ( I kind of am) or maybe this will spark something in you, the little nudge that in your heart, that inner knowing that you’re here for more, meant for more. Maybe you don’t know what more that is but I promise if you get quiet enough you can follow the nudges to some really, really great things. Chances are if you were drawn to this, to me, were similar. You can have everything you desire even if you don’t know what that is yet <3
