Think Outside the Box.
A smarter approach to pain, pelvic health, and recovery.
Your health matters.
Hi, I’m Kyla! It’s nice to meet you.
My name is Kyla Hotham. I am a registered physiotherapist specializing in pelvic health, postpartum recovery, and persistent pain.
I work with women who are active, capable, and motivated — but stuck. Many have tried physiotherapy, exercise programs, or “doing all the right things,” yet continue to experience pain, pelvic health symptoms, or setbacks when they increase load or return to activity.
These patterns are rarely caused by a single weak muscle or poor posture.
They are usually driven by a combination of nervous system response, pressure management, movement strategy, and overall capacity. Treating one piece in isolation often leads to short-term relief and long-term frustration.
My approach focuses on addressing these root drivers, not chasing symptoms.
I prioritize body literacy — helping women understand what their symptoms mean, how their body responds to stress and load, and how to adjust movement and training accordingly. This allows care to progress beyond rigid rules, fear-based restrictions, or endless “activation” work.
Treatment integrates:
evidence-based physiotherapy
nervous system–informed care
progressive, functional strength
individualized education aligned with real-life demands
I have a particular interest in working with health conscious women who want to understand their bodies, make informed decisions about their health, and return to movement with confidence.
My role is not to fix your body.
It is to assess, educate, and guide you toward lasting, adaptable recovery.
If you are looking for quick fixes or passive treatment, this is not the right fit. If you want clarity, competence, and an approach that respects your intelligence and autonomy, you’re in the right place.
